thanks Maxu for clear explanation. so, i suppose that, during first 15 min of train stop, passport control (picked up and given back later) and customs officers inspection take place into the car; afaik, Chop is, at the moment, the only international transit point for Ukrainian railways, at least for passengers: how many trains per day (or night) go through this crossborder point, apart from the Kyiv-Wien and two trains Kosice-Mukacevo? maybe some goods trains? if i am not wrong, the trains Kosice Mukacevo dont go through regauging area im Chop, because they run on a new route built on tracks with west european gauge, till Mukacevo.

The track is not exactly new but the last section in Mukaczevo including the international passenger platform is.

basically cross-border cargo carriages are normally also not re-gauged, but re-loaded, so they don't utilize re-gauging facility.
Re-gauging cargo carriage is technically possible but makes not much sence because of different loading gauge and allowed load per axle - which mean the cargo car which will be re-gauged should match requirements of both sides, which mean it should be small and under loaded in 1520 mm world.
Re-gauging cargo cars are performed in very rare cases when the carried cargo is dangerous, toxic, explosive or there is any other serious reason why any additional manipulation with it should be avoided.
In all other cases cargo is simply re-loaded to other cars.
Also main part of cargo from Ukraine to Western neighbours here is iron ore to Slovakia, which goes by 1520 mm via Uzhhorod-2 to Kosice steel factory (Haniska pri Kosica and don't utilize even the re-loading facilities.

Size or weight of containers does not change at the border but it is easier (with container re-loading crane)
to switch them to another train than to re-gauge the cars.

some accident somewhere maybe in Hungary and the train arrived with huge delay to Wien and the sleeper car Kyiv Wien, stopped in Hungary, will wait there the train and not leaving from Wien? what happens in this case?

The train shall leave from Vienna with other carriages but without sleeper. Sleeper shall be added somewhere in Hungary,
at Budapest/Zahony or whatever MÁV-Start may decide.

Панове, а чи реально взяти квиток у віденський вагон на ділянку Львів - Київ у неділю? НЯР це має бути не раніше його прибуття в Чоп о 2:30 того ж дня? Яка там орієнтовна ціна? І чи з'являться ці квитки в букінгу?

В обратную сторону показывает цену 607,36 грн на завтра (пятница). То есть должна быть такая же цена и в воскресенье.

Я був би радий помилятись, але чогось мені видається, що раніше усі потяги із-за кордону букінг не вмів бачити по Україні.
апд: неправда. Знайшов у себе бланк замовлення 2016 року з є-к у вагон М до 81 з Чопа до Києва.

апд: неправда. Знайшов у себе бланк замовлення 2016 року з є-к у вагон М до 81 з Чопа до Києва.

букінг перед карантином теж вмів продавати їх, так була виявлена можливість їздити за копійки в кошицькому РІЦі в складі 30 НЕ, але тільки в бік Києва
