Well, even if you cannot read cyrillic letters (and the site of ukrainian railways is unaviable for you due to this reason) - you can see such timetable by yourself.

Latvian railways provide gateway to "express" system in English, so you can go to http://ldz.lv then switch it to English and find (in section" International Train Traffic Timetable and tickets sale") all long-distance trains within exUSSR  (except Georgia, Armenia, Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan), including Ukraine.

Also all Ukrainian long-distance trains are present on sites of German railways http://bahn.de and similar sites of other countries which are working from the same engine, for example Austrian railways http://oebb.at and others.

The only two moments you shoud know - in those sites station names are formed as transliteration from their Russian names and often doesn't match the names of cities as you know (transliteration directly from Ukrainian), for example for the route you are asking about - you should make search between Lvov and Ivano-Frankovsk.

The other moment - Latvian site doesn't show propertly train type (becuse it deducts it from train number due to deprecated order), so don't be confused by all these "summer express", just ignore this information. And don't be confuesed by prices, shown by Latvian site - it is the price in Latvia, in Ukraine such ticket costs seriously less.

Well, if you'll succesfully use Latvian (or German or Austrian site) you will see that:

-there are 10 trains per day

-most of trains has shortest possible route and travel time is from 2:30 up to 3:39, depending on train

-two trains (numbers 604 and 372) has roundabout route and travel time 4:58 - in case of train 604 it can be useful to due to possibility using this train overnight (so more long travel time is not so bad, you will have more time for sleeping) but in case of train 372 its curved route and long travel time just make this train uselessl for ridning between Ivano-Frankivsk and Lviv. So conclusion is that all train can be used except 372
